Hashtags Or QR Codes?

Are hashtags and QR codes still relevant?

Since the advent of social media, weddings have made an appearance on them sparking their own trend of "Wedding Hashtags", with most opting for unique tags like "#SmithWedding2024". However we have seen a recent turn away from this trend, the majority (99%+) of our stationery sold in 2024 did not feature any hash tags at all. It seems the rituals of the past have been removed opting for a more engaging experience for wedding guests focused more on enjoying themselves than being reminded to post on social media.

Weddings typically tend to be traditional days so it seems less appealing to encorporate our modern lives and give guests an unforgettable experience. However, this applies only to hashtags, we have seen a huge spike in customers using QR codes to link to menus, digital photo guest books etc. The introduction of QR codes seems to be aligned with the wedding experience rather than taking away from it (sharing externally on social media), it's still inclusive an all about the hosts.

We're happy to print QR codes on any of our stationery, not limited to table numbers or order of service however this is where they tend to appear. Send us a message if you would like to know more!
